$50000 on a home gym

New mom Jennifer Lopez has spent a whopping $50,000 on a home gym to help her lose weight after gaining almost 50lbs during her pregnancy.

The ‘Jenny From The Block’ singer — who gave birth to twins Max and Emme with husband Marc Anthony on February 22 — has been working out as much as possible to get her figure back.

A source told Britain’s Star magazine: “To motivate her, she’s splurged out on a $50,000 home gym for her New York mansion. She’s also consulted trainers, nutritionists and doctors, looking for the safest way to drop the weight in record time.”

The singer, 38, recently revealed she used to worry that she would never have kids.

“You start getting older, you think to yourself, maybe [having kids] is just not meant for me,” she said. “I knew there was nothing wrong with me.

“I knew that I could. Deep down, I really wanted it badly.

“Even after one year, two years, three years, you know, you start thinking to yourself, ‘well maybe,’” added the star.

Hot mama returns to red carpet

March 31, 2008 (Sawf News) - Having shed most of the weight she had put on during her recent pregnancy, but none of the glow, Jennifer Lopez looked even hotter than earlier at the premiere of Shine A Light at Ziegfeld Theater in New York City Sunday, March 30.

Her sense of style remains intact too. She wowed in a sleeveless black knee length grecian drape dress that was gathered at the shoulders and cinched at the waist with a belt for shape.

She accessorized with studded black pumps, flower design earrings and a wide diamond bracelet on her right hand.

Tightly pulled and tied at the back, her hair gave a tidy look and emphasized her broad face and bold silver eye make up.

Her dress was glamorous but discrete. It hid the new mom flab on the stomach. We know she is a fitness freak but last we heard she is still human.

$2.6M Thank You For Giving Birth

Marc Anthony has reportedly given wife Jennifer Lopez a pair of $2.6m diamond earrings - as a thank-you for giving birth to their twins.

Anthony is said to be getting the pricey bling engraved with little Max and Emme’s initials for that personal touch.

A source said of J-Lo’s baby bonus: “It’s no secret that J-Lo has expensive taste, so Marc was going to have to spend a serious amount to show her how he feels.”

What with the reported $6m she received from a U.S mag for exclusive rights to her baby pics, it obviously pays to give birth when your J-Lo.

Jennifer Lopez goes blonde

Four weeks after she gave birth to twins, Max and Emme, Jennifer Lopez has not only regained her svelte figure, but gone blonde too.
To have her look changed, the 38-year-old singer-actress left the kids at home in Old Westbury to visit the Rita Hazan salon, accompanied by her sister, Linda.
'Jennifer is radiant and happy, but she was ready for a little change. She wants to go blond by summer, so she made a quick trip into the city,' the New York Daily quoted Hazan, as saying.
'She talked about Max and Emme and was dying to get back to them as soon as she finished,' she added.
And in case you're wondering, this is how J Lo would look in her blonde avatar, thanks to some great imaging by Creative Director Uttam Ghosh.

Jennifer Lopez Film and television

Lopez arriving at the 2004 MTV Video Music Awards on August 29, 2004 in Miami, Florida.

Lopez has appeared on the short-lived television programs South Central, Second Chances, and Hotel Malibu, and the made-for-television film Nurses on the Line: The Crash of Flight 7. Lopez broke into the big screen in the 1995 drama My Family and then appeared opposite Wesley Snipes in the action film Money Train. Lopez has played roles in Francis Ford Coppola's 1996 comedy Jack starring Robin Williams, and the 1997 thriller Blood and Wine with Jack Nicholson. Lopez played the lead role in the 1997 film Selena for which she was nominated for the Golden Globe Award for "Best Actress - Motion Picture Musical or Comedy" in 1998. She became the first Latin actress to get paid $1 million or more for a film role.
Some of her other critically-acclaimed films include Out of Sight, The Cell, and An Unfinished Life. Lopez's performances were less well-received in the financially successful films The Wedding Planner, Maid in Manhattan, Monster-in-Law, and Shall We Dance?.

Lopez has finished shooting two new independent films: Bordertown and El Cantante. El Cantante was shown at the Toronto International Film Festival where it got positive reviews. Bordertown was shown at the Brussels Film Festival. Both films were produced by Lopez and her production company, New Yorican Productions.

In April 2004, Lopez guest starred in the sixth season finale of Will & Grace, playing herself. This was the highest-rated episode of the series since Elton John's appearance in 2002, and Lopez appeared again in the season seven's opening episode. In May 2006, MTV gave the greenlight on her executively-produced reality show, DanceLife. The show followed the lives of six aspiring dancers as their struggle to make it in the competitive world of professional dance. Lopez, who took an active role in selecting the show's participants, made cameo appearances over the course of the season and the show's eight-episode run which began on January 15, 2007.

As recent as summer 2007, it was rumored that Lopez would be appearing on HBO's "Entourage." It has been assumed that she would play herself.
Lopez made an appearance as a mentor on American Idol on April 10, 2007.
